“This painting was created to explore the pressures and conflicting expectations placed on women in today’s world. Its many layers include a variety of collage from magazines and media all informing women how to dress, how to lose weight, how to be the best mother while holding a successful career, and other similar themes. The figure in this painting is purposely left androgynous and aims to capture a feeling of being lost and overwhelmed by society's view of the perfect woman.”
